- Appropriate electrical knowledge to understand different switching requirements based on applications and derived from relevant standards.
- Basic understanding of the mechanical setup of Vacuum Interrupter design, especially regarding interfaces to applications such as VCBs, tap changers, etc.
- Deep understanding of dielectric attributes in Vacuum Interrupter design.
- Deep understanding of plasma physics associated with Vacuum Interrupter switching performance.
- Evaluation of possible environmental interactions.
- Knowledge of how to pursue in-depth and systematic root cause failure analysis after testing and from issues observed in field applications
- Driving cutting-edge approaches
- PhD with minimum 8 years / Master's degree with minimum12 years of experience preferred.
