Machine Shop Maintenance

- Carry out preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of CNC and conventional machine tools.
- Maintain VMC, HMC, CNC Turning Centers, Radial Drilling Machines, Milling Machines, Surface Grinders, Cylindrical Grinders, Slotting Machines and other machine tools.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults.
- Maintain spindle systems, guideways, ball screws, lubrication systems and coolant systems.
- Coordinate with OEMs for major repairs and annual maintenance activities.

Fabrication Shop Maintenance

- Maintain welding machines (MIG, TIG, Arc Welding), gas cutting machines and plasma cutting machines.
- Ensure proper functioning of fabrication fixtures and material handling equipment.
- Maintain air compressors, gas pipelines and pneumatic systems.
- Maintain EOT cranes, chain pulley blocks and lifting equipment.

Assembly Shop Maintenance

- Maintain hydraulic presses, assembly fixtures and testing equipment.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic power packs, cylinders, valves and pumps.
- Ensure availability of assembly tools, torque equipment and pneumatic tools.
- Support trial runs and commissioning of finished machines.

Utilities Maintenance

- Maintain electrical panels, transformers, DG sets and LT distribution systems.
- Maintain compressors, water pumps and industrial lighting.
- Ensure uninterrupted utility services to production.

Preventive Maintenance

- Develop preventive maintenance schedules for all production equipment.
- Prepare maintenance checklists and inspection plans.
- Implement predictive maintenance techniques including vibration analysis, temperature monitoring and oil analysis where applicable.
- Ensure timely calibration of critical instruments.

Breakdown Maintenance

- Respond immediately to equipment failures.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring breakdowns.




- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Minimize machine downtime through effective planning.

Spare Parts Management

- Maintain inventory of critical maintenance spares.
- Raise purchase requisitions for spare parts.
- Monitor spare consumption and optimize inventory levels.
- Develop alternate sources for critical spares.

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure secure maintenance practices and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Implement Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures during maintenance.
- Ensure proper housekeeping of maintenance areas.
- Participate in safety audits and risk assessments.

TPM & Continuous Improvement

- Support implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
- Monitor OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
- Improve MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and reduce MTTR (Mean Time To Repair).
- Drive Kaizen and cost reduction initiatives.

Documentation

- Maintain maintenance logs and equipment history records.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly maintenance reports.
- Maintain AMC records and statutory inspection records.
- Update maintenance SOPs and work instructions.

Team Management

- Supervise maintenance technicians and electricians.
- Allocate daily maintenance work.
- Train technicians on safe maintenance practices.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores and Purchase departments.
