QUALIFICATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

- 8 years experience in IP
- At least 3 years experience working in IP in the biosimilars industry
- Licensed as a patent attorney under Indian Law
- BSc in the life sciences field

OBJECTIVE OF THE FUNCTION:

SUPPORT THE BU BIOPHARMA IP TEAM BY ASSESSING AND MONITORING PATENT LANDSCAPES FOR BIOSIMILARS.

MAIN TASKS:

- Monitoring and surveillance of patent landscapes for approx. 5 pipeline biosimilars. Use PatSnap software.
- Freedom to operate (FTO) searches and reports for recent pipeline biosimilar candidates.
- Prior art searches and patent invalidity assessments.

SECONDARY TASKS:

- Due diligence projects:



work with BioPharma IP patent attorneys and scientists to assess FTO of third-party biologics manufacturing process.

OTHER TASKS:

- Organize BU BioPharma IP Team databases, files and folders for storing and tracking case law updates and legislative change in various countries.
- Assist IP Team in preparing PowerPoint slides for presentations for the business
