Job Title: Project Manager Test Bench (Aerospace Domain)

Location: Bangalore

Reports To: Program Manager / Head of Testbench

Job Summary:

Responsible for leading and managing aerospace test bench projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, and optimal resource utilization. This role demands strong technical acumen, stakeholder coordination, and project execution capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead planning, execution, and delivery of test bench projects.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage project resources.
- Ensure adherence to aerospace standards and safety protocols.
- Manage procurement, vendor interactions, and logistics.
- Knowledge in Cable harness, subrack assembly as PER IPC 620 and PCBA IPC 610,




- Manage to make decisions on In-house and outsourcing based on the criticality of the project.
- Track project milestones and report progress to leadership.
- Support test planning and execution for aerospace test systems.

Objectives:

1. Deliver Projects on Time and Within Budget:
Ensure all test bench projects are completed as per the agreed timelines and financial plans.
2. Ensure Technical and Regulatory Compliance:
Maintain adherence to aerospace standards (e.g., DO-160, MIL-STD) and internal quality protocols.
3. Optimize Resource Utilization:
Maximize team productivity and minimize idle time through effective planning and task allocation.
4. Enhance Test Bench Reliability and Availability:
Ensure high uptime and operational readiness of test infrastructure.
5. Improve Stakeholder Engagement:
Maintain transparent communication and alignment with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
6. Mitigate Risks Proactively:
Identify potential risks early and implement mitigation strategies to avoid project delays or failures.
7. Drive Continuous Improvement:
Promote process improvements, lessons learned, and technical innovation in test bench operations.
8. Support Team Development:
Encourage training and skill enhancement for team members aligned with current and future project needs.
9. Maintain Accurate Documentation:
Ensure all project documentation is complete, audit-ready, and aligned with organizational standards.
10. Work on ECN / ECO and RFQs:

Implement all ECN/ECOs before moving to Integration and testing. And update the deviation waivers, process documents.

Participate in new proposals to build a pipeline with a competitive price without any deviation in quality, and customer delivery scope.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s in Electrical or Electromechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- 5+ years in aerospace project/test engineering.
- Strong project management and technical documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- PMP certification.
- Experience with propulsion, avionics, or structural testing.
- Familiarity with aerospace compliance standards.
