Job Title: Assembly Supervisor Wind Turbine Generator

Qualification:

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Production or related discipline.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Assembly Supervisor to lead the assembly operations of wind turbine generators. The candidate will supervise assembly technicians, ensure adherence to quality and safety standards, achieve production targets, and drive continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise day-to-day generator assembly activities.
- Lead assembly of stator, rotor, shaft, bearings, end shields, cooling systems and other generator components.
- Ensure assemblies are completed according to engineering drawings, BOMs and SOPs.
- Monitor production schedules and achieve daily production targets.
- Ensure correct use of torque tools, hydraulic equipment, lifting equipment and precision measuring instruments.
- Coordinate with Quality, Production Planning, Maintenance and Stores teams.
- Conduct in-process inspections and resolve assembly-related issues.




- Perform root cause analysis for assembly defects and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, EHS policies and quality standards.
- Maintain production records and prepare daily shift reports.
- Train and mentor assembly technicians and operators.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S and Kaizen initiatives on the shop floor.

Required Skills

- Experience in heavy generator/motor assembly.
- Knowledge of stator and rotor assembly.
- Mechanical and electromechanical assembly techniques.
- Reading engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
- Assembly tooling, fixtures and torque-controlled tightening.
- Alignment techniques using dial gauges and laser alignment.
- Knowledge of bearings, shafts and rotating equipment.
- Team handling and manpower planning.
- SAP and MS Excel.
- Robust problem-solving and communication skills.
