Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Leadership

- Lead and oversee all production activities across fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, testing, finishing, and dispatch.
- Develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with the company's business objectives.
- Ensure production capacity meets current and future business requirements.
- Drive operational excellence while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Production Planning & Delivery

- Own production schedules and ensure timely completion of customer orders.
- Coordinate closely with Design, Projects, Purchase, Stores, Quality, and Service departments to achieve delivery commitments.
- Review production status daily and resolve bottlenecks affecting throughput.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and production resources.

Operational Excellence

- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Visual Management, and continuous improvement initiatives.




- Reduce production cycle times and eliminate process inefficiencies.
- Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), labour productivity, and manufacturing throughput.
- Establish standardized manufacturing processes and best practices.

Team Leadership & Development

- Lead, mentor, and develop Production Managers, Senior Production Engineers, Supervisors, and shop-floor personnel.
- Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Identify future leaders and create succession plans for key manufacturing positions.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching for professional growth.

Quality & Compliance

- Ensure all products are manufactured in accordance with approved engineering drawings, customer specifications, Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs), and applicable standards.
- Work closely with the Quality team to minimize defects, rework, and customer complaints.
- Promote a "Right First Time" manufacturing culture.
- Ensure compliance with ISO quality systems, statutory requirements, and company procedures.

Cost & Resource Management

- Develop and monitor production budgets.
- Improve material utilization and reduce manufacturing waste.
- Optimize machine utilization and labour efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality or safety.

Safety & Plant Management

- Ensure strict compliance with all safety regulations and statutory requirements.
- Promote a zero-accident safety culture.
- Ensure excellent housekeeping standards through effective implementation of 5S.
- Oversee preventive maintenance planning to maximize equipment availability.
