Position: Tea Tasting Executive
Department: Tea Tasting
Location: Mumbai HO
Reporting To: Head of Tea Tasting

Job Purpose

To evaluate and maintain the quality, consistency, and sensory characteristics of tea by conducting qualified tea tasting, supporting tea selection, and ensuring all products meet the company's quality standards and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:Tea Tasting & Evaluation

- Conduct daily tea tasting of CTC, Orthodox, Green, and specialty teas received from auctions, suppliers, and production batches.
- Evaluate tea samples based on liquor colour, brightness, aroma, flavour, briskness, body, strength, and overall cup quality.
- Identify defects, off-flavours, inconsistencies, and quality deviations.
- Maintain accurate tasting notes and sensory evaluation records.




- Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Production teams to resolve quality-related issues.

Tea Procurement Support

- Evaluate teas from various gardens, estates, and auctions.
- Provide quality recommendations to the procurement team during tea selection and purchasing.
- Monitor seasonal quality trends and market availability.

Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain tea tasting logs, quality reports, and sensory evaluation records.
- Prepare comparative tasting reports and quality analysis for management.
- Support quality audits by maintaining proper documentation.

Required Qualifications

- Any Graduate

Key Skills

- Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
- Effective communication and teamwork.
