MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) engineer designs, coordinates, and oversees the installation of vital building infrastructure, focusing on HVAC, power distribution, and water systems.Key ResponsibilitiesMechanical (HVAC): Design heating, ventilation, and air conditioning layouts, calculate thermal loads, and ensure indoor climate control.Electrical: Plan power supply distribution, lighting systems, backup generators, and fire alarm integration.Plumbing: Manage domestic water supply, sanitary drainage, storm systems, and fire suppression piping.Coordination & Compliance: Review architectural blueprints, resolve clash detections using 3D modeling tools, and ensure strict adherence to local building codes.Site Supervision: Inspect ongoing construction work, conduct system testing, and manage project commissioning.Core RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and load calculation software (like HAP).Knowledge Base: Familiarity with international standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and NBC.
