- Analyze product requirements, user stories, and API specifications before development is complete.
- Participate in backlog refinement sessions to identify test scenarios, missing acceptance criteria, and potential risks.
- Test REST APIs using Postman by validating:
- Request payloads
- Response structure and business rules
- HTTP status codes
- Authentication and authorization
- Pagination, filtering, sorting, and search
- Rate limiting and timeout scenarios
- Negative and boundary conditions
- Create Postman Collections and reusable workplace variables for regression testing.
- Verify data consistency between API responses and the database using SQL queries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in Manual Testing and API Testing.
- ISTQB certification is an added advantage.
