Job Description: Guidewire Policy Center Configuration Developer
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Guidewire Policy Center Configuration Developer to design, develop, and deliver scalable solutions within the Guidewire ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Policy Center configuration, Gosu development, and a solid understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C;) insurance processes.
This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement business requirements, enhance system capabilities, and ensure high-quality delivery in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement configuration solutions in Guidewire Policy Center aligned with business requirements
- Develop and customize:
- Product Model (lines, coverages, rating)
- PCF (UI screens)
- Business Rules & Workflows
- Data Model extensions
- Write and maintain clean, efficient code using Gosu
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders for requirement analysis and solution design
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and issue resolution across environments
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to Guidewire best practices
- Support production releases, upgrades, and system enhancements
- Contribute to performance optimization and system scalability initiatives
- Maintain proper documentation and technical specifications
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–8+ years of experience in Guidewire development
- Strong hands-on experience in Policy Center Configuration
- Expertise in:
- Product Model
- PCF (Page Configuration Framework)
- Rules & Workflows
- Data Model
- Proficiency in Gosu programming language
- Experience working with Guidewire Studio
- Good understanding of integration concepts (REST/SOAP APIs)
- Robust knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP)
- Guidewire Policy Center Certification (Associate/Professional)
- Domain knowledge in Property & Casualty Insurance
- Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, etc.)
- Familiarity with integration tools (e.g., Mule Soft, Kafka)
- Experience in cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
