Job Title: Service Now SAM Pro Consultant
Location: Remote

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Service Now SAM Pro Consultant to design, implement, and support enterprise Software Asset Management (SAM) solutions using the Service Now platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Service Now SAM Pro, IT Asset Management (ITAM), Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Service Now Discovery, and Java Script, along with hands-on experience integrating third-party discovery and inventory tools. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable asset management solutions, optimize software license compliance, and automate business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, configure, and implement Service Now Software Asset Management Professional (SAM Pro) solutions.
- Configure and maintain IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) modules.
- Implement and manage Service Now Discovery and MID Server infrastructure for accurate asset discovery.
- Configure software models, license metrics, entitlements, normalization, reclamation, and compliance processes.
- Develop and customize Service Now applications using Java Script, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Glide APIs.
- Build and maintain workflows using Flow Designer to automate asset lifecycle and software management processes.
- Integrate Service Now with enterprise tools such as Microsoft SCCM (MECM), JAMF, IBM ILMT, Tanium, and other inventory systems.
- Develop and support REST/SOAP API integrations with external applications.




- Configure software reconciliation, license optimization, and compliance reporting.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to asset discovery, licensing, integrations, and platform performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and recommend best practices aligned with Service Now standards.
- Participate in solution design, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
- Prepare technical documentation, knowledge articles, and implementation guides.

Required Skills:

- Strong hands-on experience with Service Now SAM Pro implementation.
- Experience with IT Asset Management (ITAM).
- Experience with Hardware Asset Management (HAM).
- Strong knowledge of Service Now Discovery and MID Server configuration.
- Proficiency in Java Script and Service Now scripting.
- Experience with Flow Designer.
- Strong understanding of Glide APIs.
- Experience configuring software licensing, software models, normalization, reconciliation, and compliance.
- Hands-on experience integrating Service Now with SCCM (MECM), JAMF, IBM ILMT, Tanium, or similar discovery tools.
- Experience developing REST and SOAP integrations.
- Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience delivering enterprise-scale Service Now SAM Pro implementations.
- Knowledge of Service Now CMDB and CSDM concepts.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Service Now certifications in SAM Professional, ITAM, or System Administrator are highly preferred.
- Experience with Software Asset Management best practices and ITIL processes.
