Job Purpose The position is responsible for managingmanuscript submissions and transfers within Sage Track and SagePath systems, ensuring compliance with submission criteria,accurate data transfer, and timely communication with authors andeditors. The role supports the smooth processing of manuscriptsacross designated journals, maintaining efficiency, accuracy, andprofessional correspondence throughout the peer review workflow.Key Responsibilities Review manuscripts submitted through SageTrack to ensure compliance with submission criteria. Invite andassign editors to appropriate journals based on author preferencesor recommendations from AMEs. Track authors who have not submittedtheir manuscripts by the defined deadlines and follow upaccordingly. Assist authors in processing papers transferred fromSage Path to destination journals. Initially manage submissions forbroad journals, with scope to expand to other journals over time.Perform daily checks in the transfer folder of assigned journals toprocess Sage Path–transferred papers. Verify that all submissioninformation has transferred accurately; fill in any missing detailsusing available resources in Sage Path (training and guides will beprovided). Use standardized email templates to contact authors formissing information and provide guidance throughout the submissionprocess. Monitor unsubmitted Sage Path manuscripts in destinationtitles; proactively reach out to authors to offer support andresolve queries. Utilize ScholarOne (across multiple journals) andFreshdesk as primary operational tools. Generate periodic reportsfrom Sage Track as required. Troubleshoot to ensure smoothfunctionality of the Sage Track site.



Key AccountabilitiesProductivity and Quality Standards Manage the number of submissionsassigned annually as per the yearly WAP, following successfulcompletion of training and phased transition of responsibilities.Respond to email inquiries from journal editors, associate editors,authors, reviewers, and Sage staff within 24 hours (excludingweekends and holidays), using transparent, concise, and professionalcommunication. Coordinate with ScholarOne support staff whentroubleshooting technical issues within Sage Track. Support journaleditors and/or Sage staff with special projects and initiatives asneeded. Adhere to the Journal Workflow Guide and establishedprocedures. Meet or exceed productivity standards defined for theEditorial Assistant – Peer Review role. Maintain professional,courteous, and effective communication with all stakeholders.Escalate any tense or sensitive communication from editors/authorsto your supervisor and share positive feedback or praise as well.Apply problem-solving skills to address and resolve journal-relatedissues efficiently. Experience: 0–1year of relevant experience in the publishing industry(preferred).
