Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate books for Canada-based clients using proficient accounting software.

n

n

Record all financial transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journals.

n

n

Perform bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and intercompany entries.

n

n

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

n

n

Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) cycles effectively.

n

n

Set up and maintain Xero charts of accounts according to client requirements.

n

n

Handle property management accounting for real estate clients, including rental income recording and lease schedule maintenance.

n

n

Requirements:

n

n

Minimum 3–7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with international clients.

n

n

Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and financial statements.

n

n

Working knowledge of GST/HST, CRA compliance, or a willingness to learn quickly.

n

n

Proficiency in client communication and presentation skills.

n

n

Familiarity with accounting tools such as Xero, Quick Books, or Tally ERP.

n

n

Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.

n

n





Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while meeting deadlines.

n

Preferred Qualifications:

n

n

MBA (Finance) or Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA Inter / CMA Inter) or Qualified CA (ICAI).

n

n

Prior experience in a CA firm, vCFO firm, or BPO/KPO serving overseas clients.

n

n

Knowledge of property management accounting workflows.

n

n

Experience with document management tools such as Hubdoc or Dext (preferred).

n

n

Basic understanding of foreign exchange entries and multi-currency bookkeeping.
