- Design and develop new mechanical products and components using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Prepare detailed manufacturing, assembly, and part drawings in accordance with engineering standards.
- Support recent product development from concept through production.
- Work closely with the Process Engineering team to ensure manufacturability and efficient production.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering drawings, and design documentation.
- Implement and manage Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
- Perform drawing revisions, corrections, and PPAP documentation updates.
- Design tools, jigs, fixtures, and work-holding solutions for VMC machining operations.
- Coordinate with production, quality, procurement, and manufacturing teams to resolve design and production issues.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, quality requirements, and customer specifications.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design and New Product Development (NPD).
- Mandatory proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Strong knowledge of Process Engineering and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in engineering change management (ECR/ECO/ECN).
- Good understanding of mechanical drafting and GD&T.;
- Ability to perform drawing corrections and maintain engineering documentation.
- Experience in designing tools, jigs, and fixtures for VMC machines.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in RF connector design is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with machining, CNC/VMC manufacturing processes, and production support.
- Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
