Job Summary

We are looking for a Tool Room Die Maintenance Engineer / Technician with experience in press tool maintenance, conventional machine operation, and welding in a sheet metal stamping environment. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining press tools, ensuring smooth production operations, and minimizing machine downtime.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of press tools and dies used in sheet metal stamping operations.
- Inspect dies to identify wear, cracks, alignment issues, and damages.
- Carry out die fitting, spotting, grinding, polishing, and repair work.
- Ensure proper die assembly, alignment, and setup on press machines.
- Operate conventional machines such as milling, lathe, surface grinder, and radial drill for die maintenance work.
- Perform basic welding work for die repair and modification when required.
- Work closely with production and quality teams to resolve die-related issues.
- Maintain tool maintenance records and tool history sheets.




- Support new die trials and tool development activities.
- Ensure minimum tool downtime during production.
- Follow safety standards and tool room procedures.

Skills Required

- Strong knowledge of Press Tool Maintenance
- Conventional Machine Operating skills
- Basic Welding Knowledge
- Knowledge of sheet metal stamping process
- Ability to read 2D drawings and tool layouts
- Understanding of clearance, burr control, and die alignment
- Basic knowledge of tool steel and heat treatment

Qualification

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred)
- Preferred Industry Experience
- Automotive component manufacturing
- Sheet metal stamping industry
- Press shop operations

Job Type: Full time

Pay: Up to ₹450,000.00 per year
