Hardware & Software Support Engineer / IT Assistant

Job Summary

We are looking for a Hardware & Software Support Engineer to provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, networking devices, and software applications. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of experience in IT support, hardware troubleshooting, software installation, and network maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install and configure Windows OS, Microsoft Office, antivirus, and other applications.
- Diagnose and replace hardware components such as RAM, SSD/HDD, SMPS, motherboards, and peripherals.
- Configure and troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, internet connectivity, and printers.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to faculty, staff, and students.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
- Perform preventive maintenance of computer systems and network devices.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and warranty support.
- Ensure timely resolution of IT support tickets.
- Maintain data backups and follow IT security best practices.

- Basic Networking (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP)
- Driver Installation & BIOS Configuration
- Remote Support Tools (AnyDesk, TeamViewer)
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory and Windows Server (preferred)

Qualifications

- Diploma / B.Sc. IT / BCA / B.E. / B.Tech. in Computer Science, Information Technology,

Experience

- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Hardware & Software Support, Desktop Support, or IT Helpdesk.
- Experience in an educational institution or corporate IT environment will be an advantage.

- Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹28,000 per month (based on experience and technical skills)
