Job Description

- Preparation of electrical engineering deliverables for water treatment plants, pumping stations, and allied infrastructure, including single line diagrams, load lists, cable schedules, panel GA drawings, earthing and lightning protection layouts, and lighting layouts.
- Coordinate with process, mechanical, civil, and instrumentation teams to integrate electrical design with overall plant engineering, particularly for motor loads, pumps, blowers, and process instrumentation power requirements.
- Size and specify electrical equipment such as transformers, HT/LT panels, MCCs, VFDs, soft starters, DG sets, UPS systems, and cabling, in line with project specifications and applicable codes (IS, IEC as relevant).
- Review vendor drawings, technical bid evaluations, and datasheets for electrical equipment and provide technical clearance for procurement.
- Liaise with clients,



consultants, and statutory authorities (electrical inspectorate, utility companies) for design approvals.
- Support tendering and proposal teams with conceptual electrical design, BOQs, and cost estimates for new bids.
- Oversee site execution support, including resolution of site queries, review of as-built drawings, and troubleshooting during installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards, statutory regulations, and quality management systems throughout design and execution.
- Strong exposure to HT/LT power distribution, motor control systems, and instrumentation interfaces specific to water treatment or pumping applications. Familiarity with relevant design software (such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar load flow and protection coordination tools) is necessary, along with working knowledge of IS, IEC, and other applicable codes and standards.
- Solid organizational skills are needed to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, along with the capability to travel to project sites as required.
