We are looking for a hands-on Shopify Developer to build, customize, and maintain our Shopify store(s) for the US market. This role covers theme development and customization, custom app/API integrations, performance optimization, and ongoing troubleshooting of a live, revenue-generating store. The ideal candidate has shipped real Shopify projects (not just tutorials), is comfortable working directly in Liquid and the Shopify ecosystem (Online Store 2.0, Shopify CLI, Storefront/Admin APIs), and understands the operational side of running a US e-commerce storefront (checkout, apps, third-party integrations, seasonal traffic spikes like Black Friday/Cyber Monday).

Key Responsibilities

- Build and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript, including Online Store 2.0 sections and blocks.
- Develop custom features and storefront functionality (custom product options, bundles, subscriptions, quizzes, filters, etc.).
- Integrate and configure third-party apps (reviews, upsell/cross-sell, email/SMS, loyalty, subscriptions, ERP/inventory tools).
- Work with Shopify's Storefront API, Admin API, and webhooks for custom integrations and headless/hybrid setups where needed.
- Optimize site speed and Core Web Vitals (image optimization, lazy loading, script/app audit, theme performance).
- Ensure cross-browser and mobile responsiveness across all storefront pages.
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs on a live store with minimal downtime, especially around high-traffic periods (sales, launches, holidays).
- Collaborate with design, marketing, and merchandising teams to implement landing pages, campaign pages, and promotional features.
- Maintain code quality via version control (Git), staging/production workflows,



and basic testing before deployment.
- Monitor app conflicts, script load impact, and checkout/cart functionality to avoid revenue-impacting issues.

Must-Have Requirements

- 2+ years of hands-on experience developing/customizing live Shopify stores (agency or in-house, not personal projects only).
- Solid proficiency in Liquid templating, along with HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience with Online Store 2.0 architecture — JSON templates, sections, blocks, metafields.
- Working knowledge of Shopify's Admin API, Storefront API, and webhooks for custom integrations.
- Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Shopify apps and their conflicts with theme code.
- Familiarity with Shopify CLI, GitHub/Git-based deployment workflows, and theme version control.
- Understanding of site performance optimization specific to Shopify (Lighthouse scores, Core Web Vitals, lazy loading, render-blocking scripts).
- Experience building/maintaining a store for a US-based brand or client — familiarity with US payment gateways, tax/shipping setups, and compliance basics (ADA/accessibility awareness is a plus).

Good to Have

- Experience with headless Shopify (Hydrogen, Next.js/React storefronts) or Shopify Plus features (scripts, Shopify Functions, checkout extensibility).
- Experience building custom Shopify apps (Node.js/Remix,



Shopify App Bridge, OAuth).
- Exposure to subscription platforms (Recharge, Bold), ERP/inventory integrations, or multi-currency/multi-region setups.
- Basic understanding of SEO best practices for e-commerce (site structure, schema, page speed impact on rankings).
- Experience with Shopify Markets or managing multi-store/multi-brand setups.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated theme deployment (Shopify GitHub integration, Theme Kit).

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
