Position: Sr./Software Quality Engineer

Work Location: Noida

Industry: IT Product & Services

Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field with 2-5 Years’ Experience - Software Quality Engineer

Mission: The main mission for you will be to find bugs as early as possible and then to get them fixed to ensure that the BetterCommerce can be boasted as a virtually bug-free eCommerce Platform. Mission should not be limited to just finding bugs. It will include effective reporting, defining severity & triage and communicating them to the defined channel.

Skills Required:

- Superb Analytical & project management skills
- Familiarity with the SDLC & STLC
- Working knowledge on test procedures
- Experience in Issue tracking tools (like AzureDevOps, Jira, Freshdesk)
- Should be well versed in Agile Methodology & agile testing tools
- Proficiency in Programming Languages

Accountabilities & Metric

Identifying Defects Percentage of high/critical and escaped defects.

Total number of Defects and their Priorities, Severities, and Root Causes (dev, staging, live).

Testing Efficiency Time it takes a backlog item to get from "in-testing" to "done." i.e. how much time is needed to

test a user story.

Percentage of rejected defects (defects found by tester but not accepted a defect by the product

team).

Defect resolution Defect resolution time: track all of the resolution time, and not just the time it takes to find the

bug or verify the fix, track and make sure the bug was fixed the way it was supposed to be

fixed, and close out the issue in a reasonable time to satisfy users.

- Analyze & document requirements from the team discussions or the software requirement specifications.
- Awesome documentation capabilities with clear communication
- Ability to write test cases that cover all the requirements discussed or defined
- Report bugs, if any, get them fixed, run the failed tests again to re-verify the fixes
- Draft and execute the regression test scenarios
- Regularly test different modules and features to monitor any unexpected bugs

Good to have:

- Experience in the E-Commerce & retail domain
- Working knowledge of automation testing
- Working knowledge of Azure Cloud
- Experience in testing SQL & MongoDB based applications
- Experience in testing web-based applications
- Experience working with MS SQL Server and MySQL Knowledge of practices and procedures for full software design life cycle
- Experience working in agile development environment
