About the Role

The Accounts Payable specialist will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the day-to-day processing of accounts payable. The responsibilities will involve maintaining compliance, accuracy, and timely execution. Collaboration with the broader finance team and various departments is essential to ensure the smooth operation of financial processes throughout the company.

What You’ll Do

- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Verify and reconcile discrepancies by working closely with internal departments and external vendors.
- Prepare and process payments through various methods.
- Maintain organized and complete documentation of all transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Prepare financial reports related to AP as needed.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve and streamline financial processes.
- Respond to inquiries from vendors regarding financial matters.
- Assist in the development and implementation of finance-related policies and procedures.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Other ad-hoc tasks as set by management.

Qualifications and Typical Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.




- 2-5+ years’ experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of products (excel, word) Business, commerce or accounting qualification would be an advantage but not essential (or currently studying)
- Experience of working with Microsoft Business Central (preferable)

Special Circumstances:

- The working hours for this role shall be from 4:00am till 1:00 pm India Time during Australian Daylight Savings Time (ADST) and 5:00am till 2:00pm India time during Australian Standard Time (9:30am till 6:30pm Australian DST and 8:30am till 5:30pm Non-DST), Monday to Friday.
- The working calendar for this role shall be the Australian NSW calendar for public holidays.
