- Should deal with the patients politely and with courtesy.
- Collect the samples from patients for prescribed test.
- Make sure that the patient pays the bill to the cash counter.
- Should thoroughly test and investigate all the details regarding the patient’s sample.
- Should prepare blood, urine and tissue specimens for analysis.
- Test for drug levels in the blood to show how a patient is responding to treatment.
- Should clean and maintain the equipments in valuable working order.
- Should take proper care of sophisticated laboratory equipments.
- Prepare apparatus, instrumentation and other materials such as chemicals and solutions for use in laboratories.
- Carry out scientific experiments under the guidance of more senior staff.
- Send O.T patients lab report to ward.
