Academic Counsellor – EdTechJob Summary

We are looking for experienced Academic Counsellors with a strong background in the EdTech industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding students and working professionals, understanding their learning goals, recommending suitable educational programs, and driving enrollments through consultative counselling.

The candidate should have prior experience in EdTech organisations, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage leads, conduct counselling sessions, and achieve admission targets while delivering an excellent learner experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel prospective students and working professionals regarding educational programs and career opportunities.
- Understand learner goals, requirements, and challenges to recommend suitable courses and learning solutions.
- Handle inbound and outbound leads through calls, emails, and virtual counselling sessions.
- Convert qualified leads into successful enrollments through effective consultative selling.
- Follow up with prospective learners and guide them throughout the decision-making process.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions, follow-ups, and lead status using CRM systems.
- Achieve monthly admission, conversion, and revenue targets.
- Build strong relationships with learners and provide a smooth onboarding experience.
- Stay updated with program offerings, market trends, and competitor products.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve learner experience and enrollment processes.

Required Experience

- 3–5 years of experience as an Academic Counsellor, Education Counsellor, Admission Counsellor,



or Inside Sales Executive in the EdTech industry.
- Proven experience in achieving enrollment or sales targets.
- Experience managing high-volume lead pipelines and student consultations.
- Strong understanding of consultative sales and career counselling practices.
