Key Responsibilities

- Prepare 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models for machine parts, assemblies, and complete equipment

- Interpret design intent from reference photos, videos, hand sketches, and verbal or written explanations, and convert them into accurate drawings

- Develop part and assembly details for sheet metal, machined components, fabricated frames, and mechanical assemblies

- Create GA (general arrangement) drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs

- Apply correct dimensioning, tolerances, GD&T;, surface finishes, and material specifications

- Select and specify standard/bought-out components (bearings, fasteners, pneumatics, drives, linear motion parts)

- Coordinate with the production, fabrication, and assembly teams to resolve manufacturing queries

- Revise and update drawings based on design changes, shop floor feedback, and trial results

- Maintain organized drawing records, revision control, and technical documentation

Requirements

*Essential*

- Diploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

- Working knowledge of [SolidWorks / AutoCAD / Solid Edge]

- Strong grasp of engineering drawing fundamentals: orthographic projection, sectional views, dimensioning,



and tolerancing

- *Ability to visualize and reconstruct a part or mechanism from a photo, video, rough hand sketch, or a spoken description* — this is the single most important skill for this role

- Understanding of basic manufacturing processes: machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and assembly

- Valuable spatial reasoning and attention to detail

- Willingness to learn and take ownership of assigned equipment

*Preferred (for experienced candidates)*

- Prior experience in special purpose machines (SPM), packaging machinery, or industrial automation

- Experience with sheet metal design and fabrication drawings

- Familiarity with pneumatics, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, and linear motion systems

- Exposure to machine assembly and commissioning

- Ability to independently develop a mechanism concept into a working design

Pay: From ₹40,000.00 per month
