Job Description

We are looking for a highly hands-on, proactive Azure Platform Engineer with strong expertise in Azure infrastructure, networking, and modern data platforms (Azure Databricks & Synapse).

The ideal candidate is deeply technical, operationally robust, and eager to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Azure Databricks & Synapse Administration

- Administer Azure Databricks workspaces across Dev, UAT, and Production
- Manage:Clusters & job clusters
Cluster policies
Workspace permissions & access control
Service principals & identities





- Implement and support Unity Catalog:Storage credentials
External locations
Catalogs, schemas, and permissions

- Support Azure Synapse Analytics:Workspace configuration
SQL pools & Spark pools
Secure data access and integration with ADLS

2. Azure Infrastructure & Platform Management

- Manage core Azure services:Resource Groups
VNets, NSGs, Route Tables (UDRs)
Private Endpoints & Private Link
Storage Accounts (ADLS Gen2)
Azure SQL Database / Synapse SQL
Azure Data Factory
Azure Key Vault

- Build secure, scalable, and production-ready infrastructure

3. Networking & Enterprise Security

- Design and support Hub-Spoke architecture
- Configure and manage:Azure Firewall (policies, DNAT/SNAT, traffic inspection)
Network routing and UDRs

- Integrate with enterprise firewalls:Palo Alto / Fortinet / Check Point

- Enable hybrid connectivity:ExpressRoute
VPN Gateway

- Manage:Private DNS Zones
Cross-network name resolution

4. Infrastructure as Code & DevOps

- Implement infrastructure using Terraform (AzureRM provider)
- Build and manage Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
- Deploy:Infrastructure (Terraform)
Databricks Asset Bundles

- Validate deployment plans and identify:Risky changes (deletes/replacements)
Security or permission issues

5. Security & Identity Management

- Configure secure access using:Azure RBAC
Managed Identities
Service Principals

- Integrate Key Vault for secrets management
- Implement enterprise-grade security controls and governance

6. Private & Secure Data Platform Connectivity

- Implement private networking for:Databricks
Storage (ADLS Gen2)
Key Vault
Azure SQL / Synapse
Logic Apps / Data Factory





- Ensure zero public exposure architectures

7. Monitoring & Operations

- Monitor platform using:Azure Monitor
Log Analytics
Diagnostic logs & alerts

- Write and optimize KQL queries
- Troubleshoot:Networking issues
Identity/authentication problems
CI/CD failures
Data platform runtime issues

8. Documentation & Standards

- Maintain:Runbooks
Architecture diagrams
Networking diagrams
Deployment standards

- Enforce:Naming conventions
Tagging standards
Compliance policies
