Position Title-Senior Quality Engineer

Department-Quality Assurance

Experience-3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing industry.

Experience in automotive, aerospace, precision components, spring manufacturing, or metal component industries preferred.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality assurance activities in a manufacturing environment. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality, process compliance, customer satisfaction, and continual improvement in line with company standards and customer requirements.

The role involves handling customer complaints, root cause analysis, internal audits, process improvements, supplier quality, and ensuring compliance with quality management systems such as ISO 9001 / AS9100.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Assurance & Process Control

- Monitor and improve manufacturing processes to ensure consistent product quality.
- Develop and implement inspection standards, control plans, SOPs, and quality procedures.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer-specific requirements

2. Customer Quality Management

- Handle customer complaints and coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Conduct root cause analysis using tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, etc.




- Coordinate with customers for quality-related concerns and audits.
- Monitor customer rejection trends and drive reduction initiatives.Internal & External Audits
- Plan and conduct internal audits as per ISO/IATF/AS9100 requirements.
- Support customer audits, certification audits, and supplier audits.
- Ensure closure of audit non-conformities within defined timelines.

3. Supplier Quality

- Evaluate supplier quality performance and support supplier development activities.
- Review supplier documents such as CoC, MTC, PPAP, and inspection reports.
- Coordinate supplier corrective actions for incoming quality issues.

4. Documentation & Compliance

- Maintain quality records, calibration records, inspection reports, and traceability documents.
- Prepare PPAP/APQP documents where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with document control and retention requirements.

Required Skills

Good knowledge of ISO 9001 / AS9100 standards.

Strong understanding of GD&T; and engineering drawings.

Experience with measuring instruments and inspection techniques.

Knowledge of CAPA, 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, APQP.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Good communication and customer-handling skills.
