- Read blueprints and technical drawings to set up machines based on specification
- Comprehend product design into computer modelling software
- Use computer software to create the design of parts and tools
- Coordinate with purchasing manager to maintain inventory of raw materials
- Implement routine machine maintenance checklist and focus on preventive maintenance
- Write formulas to program lathe and mills using different computer software
- Complete quality control during the machine's manufacturing stage and on the final product
- Adjust and verify machine settings to desired product specification
- Troubleshoot issues with the machine during the instructional design process
