Job Summary

Thomas Baker (Chemicals) Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Export Logistics Executive to manage export documentation, shipment coordination, and communication with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customers. The ideal candidate should have experience in export logistics and documentation and be able to ensure smooth and timely execution of export shipments.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and verify export documentation such as Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, and other export-related documents.
- Obtain freight and insurance quotations, compare costs, and select the most efficient shipping options.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA, shipping lines, transporters, and overseas customers.
- Coordinate with CHA for draft and finalization of Shipping Bill, Bill of Lading.
- Arrange bookings for sea and air shipments.
- Communicate with CHA for UN packaging as applicable to consignments.
- Track export shipments and provide timely updates to customers.
- Ensure compliance with DGFT, Customs, Bank Realizations, and other export regulations.
- Coordinate with operations team for timely shipment execution.




- Communicate with overseas clients for documents transfer & approvals on draft documents etc.
- Maintain export records and shipment documentation.
- Handle bank documentation for export transactions when required.
- Resolve shipment and documentation issues promptly.
- Communicate with insurance company for issuing marine policies.

Requirements

- Graduate in any discipline (preferred).
- 2–5 years of experience in export logistics/documentation.
- Good knowledge of export procedures, Incoterms, and shipping documentation.
- Familiarity with DGFT, Customs, and freight forwarding processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and email communication.
- Valuable communication and organizational skills.
- Experience in the chemical manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.
