We are looking for a knowledgeable Marine Chemist to support our seaweed manufacturing operations. The role involves analyzing seawater quality, monitoring chemical composition of seaweed, and ensuring safe and efficient processing for products such as agar, alginate, and other marine extracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct chemical analysis of seawater and raw seaweed samples
- Monitor parameters such as salinity, pH, mineral content, and contaminants
- Ensure quality control during seaweed processing (agar, alginate extraction, etc.)
- Perform testing for impurities, heavy metals, and microbial safety
- Support R&D; activities for improving yield and product quality
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure calibration standards
- Prepare reports on test results and recommend process improvements
- Work closely with procurement and production teams for raw material quality
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Marine Chemistry / Chemistry / Biochemistry / Chemical Engineering
- 1-3 years of experience in marine, food processing, or chemical industries
- Knowledge of seawater chemistry and marine raw materials
Skills & Competencies:
- Robust analytical and laboratory skills
- Knowledge of marine bio-resources and seaweed composition
- Attention to detail and quality-focused approach
- Familiarity with lab instruments (pH meter, spectrophotometer, etc.)
- Good documentation and reporting skills
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
