The job of a TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) Mathematics involves teaching students of classes 6th to 10th and building a strong foundation in mathematical concepts such as Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, and Arithmetic. A TGT Maths teacher is responsible for planning and delivering structured lessons, preparing question papers, assignments, and worksheets, and explaining concepts in a clear and logical way. They focus on developing students’ problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and accuracy by using different teaching methods like examples, activities, and practical applications. Regular assessment of students through tests and classwork, maintaining records of their progress, and providing extra support to weak students are also important duties.



In schools under organizations like Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, teachers are also expected to participate in school activities, maintain discipline in the classroom, attend meetings, and communicate with parents.
