Ved Sassomeccanica (India)Pvt.Ltd. is a Kanpur based Engineering Industry engaged in manufacturing of prestigious rolling stocks of Indian Railways. Company is manufacturing & supplying Bogie Frames and Fully Assembled Bogie for the manufacturing units such as Integral Coach Factory Chennai, Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala; Modern Coach Factory, Raebareli; Banaras Locomotive Works Chittaranjan Locomotive Works, Chittaranjan of Indian Railway as well as multinational companies such as M/s Siemens, M/s Medha & M/s TRSL, Kolkata.

Company is manufacturing large structures requiring accurate fabrications including Radiographic welding, NDT Testing & Precision CNC machining in large CMM machine. The company is equipped the State - of - the - Art manufacturing facilities for Bogie Frames for the Coaches of Vande Bharat Express, Rajdhani Express & Bogie Frames for the locomotives of Rajdhani / Shatabdi Express.

Our Company is certified with EN 15085-2, CL-1 (An International Welding Standards); IRIS /IS/TS 22163 (An International Railway Industry Standards); Qualified Welder as per ISO 9606-1; Qualified Welding Co-ordinators by IISCERT, Italy. RWC – IWE (Internation Welding Engineer) as per EN ISO 14731; Certified WPS and WPQR as per EN 15609-1/15614-1.

Position – Commercial Manager

Experience- Minimum 5 to 10 Yrs (must in engineering Industry)

Location- Kanpur Nagar, Uttar Pradesh

Qualification- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical

Salary Range- 70-80 k CTC pm (Salary is negotiable based on merits for the right candidate)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contract Administration & Bidding

*Oversee the complete tender and bidding process, from analyzing technical drawings and Bill of Quantities to preparing competitive commercial offers.

*Lead high-stakes contract negotiations with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure favorable payment terms and mitigate commercial risks.

*Interpret and enforce complex contract terms,



identifying potential liabilities and ensuring compliance with engineering specifications.

2. Financial & Cost Management

*Own the plant and project-level Profit & Loss (P&L;) accountability.

*Monitor project margins, analyzing variances between estimated costs and actual material/labour consumption.

*Implement robust cost-control measures regarding raw materials (heavy steel, alloys) and fabrication consumables.

*Manage invoicing, progress billing, and collections to optimize cash flow.

3. Procurement & Supply Chain Commercials

*Collaborate with the supply chain team to negotiate long-term agreements for raw steel and critical components.

*Develop commercial evaluation reports and cost comparison statements for vendor selection.

*Manage inventory carrying costs and minimize material wastage.

4. Export-Import & Statutory Compliance

*Manage end-to-end import-export operations, customs documentation, and logistics.

*Ensure strict adherence to statutory tax compliance, including GST, indirect taxation, and customs regulations.

Technical Skills:

*Strong technical comprehension of heavy steel fabrication, welding, and machining processes.

*Core Competencies: Commercial Acumen: Ability to analyze market trends, price products competitively, and drive sustained profitability.

*Negotiation: Demonstrated ability to close high-value deals while maintaining strategic client relationships.

*Leadership: Ability to bridge communication between design, production, finance, and client management teams.
