Job Title: Wiring Harness Design Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Wiring Harness Design Engineer to design and develop electrical wiring harnesses for automotive, industrial, or off-highway applications. The candidate should have hands-on experience in 2D/3D harness routing, connector selection, wiring diagrams, and BOM preparation. Experience with CAD tools such as Creo Cabling, CATIA, SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop 2D & 3D wiring harnesses.
- Create wiring schematics, harness routing, and formboard drawings.
- Select electrical components such as connectors, terminals, wires, fuses, relays, and clips.
- Prepare BOM, manufacturing drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Perform packaging and routing studies to ensure manufacturability.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, and Supplier teams.
- Implement Engineering Change Requests (ECR/ECN).
- Support prototype builds, testing, validation, and production.




- Ensure compliance with customer specifications and automotive standards.
- Troubleshoot wiring-related issues during development and production.

Required Skills

- Experience in Wiring Harness Design.
- Strong knowledge of harness routing and electrical schematics.
- Hands-on experience in Creo Cabling, CATIA Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical.
- Knowledge of connectors, terminals, wire sizing, cable protection, and harness manufacturing.
- Experience in BOM preparation and engineering documentation.
- Understanding of GD&T; and manufacturing processes.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automotive Engineering, or related field.

Experience

- 1–3 years of experience in Wiring Harness Design.
