Job Description Position: General Medicine Doctor (Consultant Physician) Location: Kottayam, Kerala Employment Type: Full-time Facility: Multi-Specialty & Super Specialty Polyclinic Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated, highly skilled, and compassionate General Medicine Doctor to join our growing team at a premier Multi-Specialty & Super Specialty Polyclinic in Kottayam.

As a Consultant Physician, you will act as the first point of contact for adult patients, diagnosing and treating a broad spectrum of acute and chronic medical conditions.

You will collaborate closely with our in-house super-specialists (Cardiology, Neurology, Endocrinology, etc.) to ensure comprehensive, multi-disciplinary care for all patients.

Key Responsibilities Patient Care: Conduct thorough clinical evaluations, physical examinations, and detailed medical history reviews for outpatients.

Diagnosis & Treatment: Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, including diabetes, hypertension, infectious diseases, respiratory illnesses, and gastrointestinal disorders.

Cross-Referral Collaboration: Identify complex medical issues and seamlessly refer patients to relevant Super-Specialty departments within the polyclinic while maintaining co-management of the patient.

Preventative Care: Educate patients on lifestyle modifications, disease prevention, and wellness strategies.

Diagnostic Interpretation: Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory investigations, ECGs, X-rays, and advanced imaging.

Emergency Stabilization:



Provide initial assessment and stabilization for medical emergencies before facilitating hospital transfer if required.

Documentation: Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential electronic medical records (EMR) for all patient interactions.

Requirements Requirements Qualifications & Skills Education: MBBS and MD/DNB in General Medicine or Internal Medicine from a recognized institution.

Registration: Valid registration with the Travancore-Cochin Medical Council (TCMC) or National Medical Commission (NMC) is mandatory.

Experience: 45 years of clinical experience post-MD/DNB in a reputed hospital or polyclinic setting is highly preferred.

Languages: Fluency in Malayalam and English is essential to effectively communicate with the local patient demographic in Kottayam.

Competencies: Strong diagnostic acumen, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a patient-centric, empathetic approach to healthcare.
