We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong domain expertise in Smart Metering, Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), Meter Data Management (MDM), and Utility Operations.

The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders, utility operations teams, product owners, and technology teams to deliver smart metering solutions that support electricity distribution companies (DISCOMs), utility providers, and regulatory requirements.

The candidate should possess solid analytical skills, utility business process knowledge, and experience translating business requirements into functional specifications for smart metering programs.

Key Responsibilities Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering Collaborate with utility stakeholders, business users, regulators, and technology teams to gather and document business requirements.

Conduct workshops, stakeholder interviews, and business process analysis sessions.

Develop: Business Requirement Documents (BRD) Functional Requirement Documents (FRD) User Stories Process Flows Use Cases Functional Specifications Analyze current utility processes and recommend improvements through smart metering capabilities.

Smart Metering & AMI Solutions Understand end-to-end smart metering ecosystem: Smart Meters Head End System (HES) Meter Data Management System (MDMS) Communication Networks (RF, PLC, GPRS, NB-IoT, LTE) Billing Systems Outage Management Systems (OMS) Customer Information Systems (CIS) Define business rules for: Meter onboarding Remote connect/disconnect Demand response Load profiling Energy accounting Tamper and event management Prepaid/postpaid metering Data Analysis & Reporting Analyze meter consumption data and operational performance metrics.

Develop reports and dashboards for: Billing performance Revenue assurance AT&C; loss reduction Meter health monitoring Service-level compliance Validate data flows across utility applications.

Agile Delivery & Product Support Work closely with Product Owners and Scrum teams.

Translate business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.

Support Sprint Planning, UAT, defect triage, and release management.

Participate in solution design reviews and functional testing.





Stakeholder & Regulatory Management Coordinate with utilities, system integrators, vendors, and regulatory authorities.

Ensure compliance with utility and regulatory requirements.

Support change management and user adoption initiatives.

Key Responsibilities: Develop detailed project plans, including defining the scope, objectives, timeline, budget, and resource allocation for the AMISP project.

Establish project goals, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring they align with both business and client objectives.

Monitor and track project progress, ensuring that activities stay on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards.

Identify potential project risks and issues and develop strategies to mitigate their impact on the project’s timeline and deliverables.

Regularly communicate with stakeholders to provide status updates, report on risks or issues, and suggest corrective actions when necessary.

Coordinate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, ensuring optimal use of assets to achieve project success.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors,



and key stakeholders to promote collaboration and ensure alignment with project goals.

Develop and manage the project budget, ensuring that expenses are monitored and controlled within the approved limits.

Track and control any changes to the project scope, ensuring they are documented, reviewed, and approved through formal change control processes.

Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements.

Proactively address conflicts or challenges within the project team or with external stakeholders to keep the project on track.

Manage project documentation, ensuring that records of project decisions, changes, and milestones are organized and accessible.

Facilitate regular project meetings, including status updates, risk assessments, and issue resolution discussions with the project team and stakeholders.

Ensure effective communication across all project stakeholders, facilitating clear and transparent information flow at all project stages.

Provide leadership and motivation to the project team, fostering an environment of focus, productivity, and enthusiasm for project goals.

Track and report on key project performance metrics, including cost, time, quality, and resource utilization, to ensure continuous improvement and effective project delivery.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).

Proven experience (10+ years) in project management, ideally in the AMISP or infrastructure sector.

Robust knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams and collaborate with various stakeholders.

Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, etc.).

Ability to manage budgets, timelines, resources, and risks effectively.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in managing large-scale infrastructure or technical projects is preferred.
