Job Description Operation Associate (Backfill Position) Position Title Operation Associate Underwriting Operations Support Location Pune, India Department Business Services Group (BSG) Underwriting Operations Reports To Supervisor / Team Lead Underwriting Operations Position Summary The Operation Associate supports U.S. Commercial Lines Underwriting Operations by processing New Business, Renewals, Endorsements, and Premium Finance transactions.

The role requires robust attention to detail, adherence to established procedures, and collaboration with Underwriters and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate policy processing.

Key Responsibilities Process New Business, Renewal, Endorsement, and Premium Finance transactions.

Review and validate submission data for accuracy and completeness.

Support Underwriters with policy processing and servicing activities.

Meet established turnaround times and SLA requirements.

Follow quality standards, procedures, and checklists.

Perform quality reviews before task completion.

Partner with U.S. stakeholders to resolve operational queries.

Participate in cross-training and knowledge-sharing activities.

Support process improvement and automation initiatives.

Achieve productivity, quality, and compliance targets.





Requirements Required Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field.

Experience 13 years of experience in Insurance Operations, Underwriting Support, or Back-office Operations.

Commercial Insurance experience preferred.

Skills Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office.

Strong analytical and data validation skills.

Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications Commercial Property & Casualty Insurance experience.

Underwriting support background.

Understanding of policy lifecycle activities.

Exposure to process improvement or automation initiatives.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Productivity and volume achievement.

Quality and accuracy scores.

SLA adherence.

Training and certification completion.

Process compliance and audit readiness.

Working Hours Flexible to support U.S. business hours.

Participation in business meetings and training sessions as required.

Position Justification This backfill position is required to maintain operational continuity and support business requirements across New Business, Renewals, Endorsements, and Premium Finance functions while ensuring adherence to quality, productivity, and SLA commitments.

Recommended Grade: Operation Associate / Senior Operation Associate.

US General Insurance Underwriting operations knowledge, preferably in underwriting support or back-office processing.
