Key Responsibilities

API Platform & Gateway Management

· Build, configure, and maintain API gateways and API management platforms

· Manage API lifecycle from design through deployment, versioning, and retirement

· Define and enforce standards for REST APIs, policies, and lifecycle management

· Ensure APIs are scalable, reliable, and reusable across the organization

API Design & Development:

· Design and implement APIs using RESTful principles

· Apply expert knowledge of:

o RESTful API design

o HTTP/S protocols

o JSON

o OpenAPI Specification

· Support both REST and SOAP services based on integration needs

· Collaborate with backend teams to:

o Publish APIs

o Handle routing

o Implement API transformations such as caching and transformation

Security, Compliance & Governance:

· Implement robust security protocols for APIs

· Ensure API compliance with industry standards and organizational policies

· Apply authentication, authorization, rate limiting, and policy enforcement

· Support secure API consumption by internal and external systems

Monitoring & Performance Optimization:

· Monitor API performance, availability, and usage

· Optimize APIs for scalability, reliability, and system performance

· Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and operational risks

· Troubleshoot and resolve API-related issues across environments

Collaboration & Enablement:





· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API and integration requirements

· Provide transparent API documentation and usage guidelines for development teams

· Conduct knowledge sharing and training to promote best practices

· Support teams in adopting API-led integration patterns

Continuous Improvement:

· Stay up to date with latest API technologies, tools, and best practices

· Continuously improve API standards, tooling, and operational processes

· Strong understanding of integration patterns and distributed systems

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with enterprise-scale API platforms

· Exposure to microservices and event-driven architectures

· Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for APIs

· Cloud or integration platform certifications (Azure preferred)

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
