A fashion designer assistant provides both creative and technical support, assisting with trend research, sketching, technical packs, and garment fittings. Key responsibilities include creating mood boards, maintaining design archives, assisting with fabric sourcing, and coordinating with manufacturers for sample production to ensure the design team meets deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

- Creative Support: Researching fashion trends, color palettes, and materials; creating mood boards and sketches.
- Technical Design: Developing technical specification sheets (tech packs), including detailed flats using Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop.
- Sample Development: Assisting in fitting sessions, taking notes on alterations, and coordinating with suppliers for prototypes.
- Organization & Administration: Managing the fabric library, organizing samples, and updating design databases.
- Collaboration: Working with the design team to ensure designs align with the brand’s vision from concept to production
- Communication: Solid interpersonal skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
