Telugu Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Primary Grades (1–5)

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Telugu Subject Matter Expert (SME) to develop high-quality learning content for primary school students (Grades 1–5). The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Telugu language pedagogy and early childhood education, with hands-on teaching experience in primary grades.

The SME will be responsible for designing engaging Lesson Plans (LPs) and student worksheets aligned with the curriculum and age-appropriate learning outcomes. The role requires creativity, accuracy, and a learner-centric approach to content development.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop detailed and effective Lesson Plans (LPs) for Telugu for Grades 1–5.
- Design engaging and curriculum-aligned worksheets that reinforce classroom learning.
- Create age-appropriate learning activities, assessments, and practice exercises.
- Ensure all content aligns with the prescribed curriculum, learning objectives, and educational standards.
- Adapt teaching strategies to suit diverse learning levels and needs.
- Review, edit, and improve existing Telugu instructional content for quality, accuracy, and consistency.
- Collaborate with curriculum designers, instructional designers, illustrators, and content teams to create engaging learning materials.
- Incorporate innovative and activity-based teaching methodologies into lesson plans and worksheets.
- Maintain high standards of language accuracy, grammar, spelling, and readability.
- Support pilot testing and revise content based on teacher and student feedback.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telugu, Education,



or a related field.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification is preferred.
- Teaching experience in primary grades (Grades 1–5) is mandatory, or prior experience as a Telugu content developer with robust classroom teaching experience.
- Strong understanding of child development and primary school pedagogy.
- Excellent written and spoken Telugu.
- Good working knowledge of English for documentation and collaboration.
- Familiarity with state or national curriculum frameworks (SCERT/NCERT) is desirable.

Required Skills

- Strong lesson planning and instructional design skills.
- Ability to create engaging, age-appropriate worksheets and learning resources.
- Excellent command of Telugu grammar, vocabulary, and language usage.
- Creativity in designing interactive classroom activities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality educational content.
- Ability to work collaboratively and meet project deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and spreadsheets.

Preferred Experience

- 2–5 years of teaching experience in Telugu for primary grades.
- Experience in curriculum development or educational content creation.
- Experience developing digital learning content or educational resources is an added advantage.
