Role Summary
As an Automation Test Lead, you will bridge the gap between technical excellence and strategic consulting. You aren’t just managing a team; you are architecting scalable quality testing solutions for global clients. You will enhance and maintain the current landscape while leading the transition toward AI-driven, modern frameworks, ensuring high-velocity delivery across complex web-based ecosystems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- - Strategic Leadership: Define the “North Star” for automation testing. Develop
comprehensive Test Strategies, Capacity Plans, and Resource Estimations aligned with
client and internal business goals.
- Framework Architecture: Design, enhance, and evolve the current automation
framework. Lead the migration or integration of legacy systems into modern stacks
(Playwright+ Python+ Claude) as the roadmap dictates.
- AI Innovation: Pioneer the use of AI-powered development tools (Claude AI, Playwright
MCP etc.) to optimize the coding and testing lifecycle and increase team productivity.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary technical point of contact for internal
leadership and external client stakeholders, translating complex QA metrics into
business value.
- Team Orchestration: Hire, mentor, and upskill a high-performing testing team. Foster a
culture of continuous learning and accountability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, DevOps, and Product
workstreams to integrate QA into the CI/CD pipeline (Shift-Left approach).
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years in Automation Testing with a proven track record in leadership.
- Expertise in Playwright using Python.
- Experience with Microfocus UFT and VBScript or Selenium and Java.
- Hands-on with Claude AI preferred; deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines. Agentic development, Playwright MCP
- Strong SQL skills for database validation and data-driven testing.
- BE, B. Tech, or MCA
Preferred Qualifications
- Domain Expertise: Prior experience in Life Sciences or Drug Safety systems (highly valued).
- Migration Projects: Experience in migrating from legacy test automation tool to a current-age automation tech stack.
- Agile Mastery: Deep familiarity with SAFe or Scrum methodologies.
- Performance: Experience incorporating Load and Performance testing into the automation suite
