Job Title: Civil Site Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Civil Site Engineer to supervise and manage day-to-day construction activities at the site, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion of work.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise daily civil construction activities at site
- Ensure work execution as per approved drawings and specifications
- Coordinate with contractors, supervisors, and labor
- Plan and monitor material requirements
- Take site measurements and assist in billing works
- Ensure quality control and site safety standards
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports

Experience Required:

- 1 to 3 years of experience as a Civil Site Engineer

Qualification:

- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering

Salary:

- ₹20,000 to ₹30,000 per month (based on experience and skills)

Age Limit:

- 20 to 30 years

Job Location:

- Tambaram and surrounding areas, Chennai

Key Responsibilities

- Project Oversight: Supervise multiple construction sites simultaneously and ensure work progresses according to the Master Construction Programme (MCP).
- Labour Management: Efficiently manage labor contractors and internal site engineers to ensure maximum productivity.
- Material Coordination: Monitor material consumption, prevent wastage, and coordinate with the procurement team for timely delivery of major stocks (Cement, Steel, Bricks).
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure construction practices (like Sill Band installation, RCC work, and finishing) meet GCC’s quality benchmarks.
- Reporting: Review and verify Daily Work Reports (DWR)



and MCP updates from site engineers before submitting them to the Management/HR.
- Liaison: Coordinate with Architects, Structural Engineers, and MEP consultants to resolve on-site technical issues.
- Safety & Maintenance: Ensure all safety protocols are followed on-site and the site is maintained professionally for client visits.

Candidate Requirements

- Experience: Minimum 10 years in civil construction (specifically Apartments/Residential projects).
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of construction sequences, drawing reading, and quantity estimation.
- Leadership: Proven ability to handle site engineers and large labor teams.
- Communication: Strong communication skills in Tamil and English.
- Physically Active: Must be willing to travel between various project sites in Chennai.
- Education: B.E. Civil or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
