Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves analyzing various aspects of software applications, designing solutions tailored to client needs, and writing code to implement these designs. The role includes thorough testing of multiple components to ensure functionality and reliability. Additionally, the position requires ongoing maintenance and enhancement of existing software systems, as well as developing recent features to meet evolving requirements. Collaboration with different stakeholders and adapting to changing project demands are integral parts of the daily workflow, ensuring that software solutions remain effective and up to date.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to identify and resolve technical challenges within projects to maintain smooth progress.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing knowledge and guiding their development.
- Coordinate cross-functional communication to align project goals and deliverables effectively.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP Project System (PS).
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle management within SAP environments.
- Experience in designing and implementing system enhancements and customizations.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to SAP Project System.
- Familiarity with integration points between SAP Project System and other SAP modules.
- Skilled in testing methodologies to ensure quality and performance of software components.
