Job Title: OPD Assistant (Eye Department)

Department: OPD – Ophthalmology

Reports To: OPD In-Charge / Hospital Administrator

Job Summary:

The OPD Assistant will support eye clinic operations by assisting patients, maintaining clinic readiness, coordinating with doctors and optometrists, and ensuring smooth patient flow for eye examinations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:Hygiene & Equipment Care

· Maintain cleanliness of OPD, waiting area, and consultation rooms.

· Ensure sanitization of seating area, equipment touchpoints, chin rests, forehead rests, and trial frames.

· Assist in managing consumables: eye drops, tissues, hand sanitizer, forms.

Skills & Qualifications

· Minimum:



12th pass (Diploma in healthcare/optical assistant preferred)

· Basic computer skills (EMR/HMS knowledge is an advantage)

· Positive communication skills and polite behavior

· Ability to support elderly and low-vision patients

Experience

· Hospital/eye clinic experience preferred (freshers trained in-house can apply)
