Reports to Head of Consulting / Country Manager

Introduction

The Technical Leader will provide advanced technical leadership, guidance, and oversight across Gexcon’s process safety and CFD engineering projects.

The role combines deep domain expertise with a hands-on approach to technical delivery, ensuring the highest standards of quality, innovation, and integrity in all client engagements.

This position acts as both a technical authority and mentor, supporting project teams, developing local technical capabilities, and ensuring alignment with Gexcon’s global methodologies and quality standards.

Technical & Professional Qualifications and Requirements

- Master’s degree (preferred) in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related technical/commercial discipline.

- Extensive experience (10+ years) in business development, strategy, or commercial leadership, ideally in technical environments.

- Demonstrated success in building and executing growth strategies and established network of industry partners. (Desirable)

- Proven leadership skills with experience in influencing teams.

- Willingness to travel internationally to engage with clients, partners, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical leadership

- Serve as the internal technical authority within the fields of CFD and Process Safety.

- Review and approve technical deliverables to ensure accuracy, robustness, and compliance with international standards.

- Provide expert consultancy to clients on complex challenges.





- Maintain and develop personal and team technical competency through continuous learning and research.

2. Project delivery and quality assurance

- Lead and oversee detailed process safety and CFD studies, including dispersion, fire, explosion, and ventilation analyses.

- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and to Gexcon’s quality and safety standards.

- Act as technical reviewer for key client deliverables, ensuring sound engineering judgment and validation of simulation results.

- Support project scoping, resource allocation, and technical planning for multidisciplinary assignments.

3. Mentorship and capability development

- Coach and mentor engineers in CFD, Process Safety and risk analysis assessments.

- Develop training programs and knowledge-sharing initiatives to strengthen Gexcon India’s technical excellence.

- Promote collaboration between global technical teams and local consulting staff to ensure consistent standards and methodologies.

4. Client and stakeholder engagement

- Support Business Development and project managers in technical proposal development and client presentations.

- Represent Gexcon as a subject-matter expert in client meetings, workshops,



and technical forums.

- Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, partners, and regulatory authorities.

5. Research, Development, and Innovation

- Contribute to R&D; initiatives, including software validation, model development, and technical papers.

- Stay abreast of developments in CFD modelling, process safety tools, and simulation methodologies.
