Assistant Manager – Human Resources

Reports To: HR Manager / Factory Head

Job Purpose:

To manage day-to-day HR activities, ensure statutory compliance, support payroll, recruitment, employee relations, and maintain smooth HR operations in the manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and employee documentation.
- Maintain attendance, leave, and payroll inputs.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, EPF, ESIC, PT, LWF, CLRA, and Factory Act requirements.
- Coordinate statutory filings and maintain required registers and records.
- Handle employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
- Support performance appraisal and training activities.
- Maintain employee records and update the HRMS.
- Coordinate with labour contractors and monitor contract labour compliance.
- Organize employee welfare and engagement activities.
- Support internal, customer, and statutory audits.
- Prepare monthly HR reports and MIS.
- Ensure implementation of company HR policies and procedures.

Qualification





- MBA / MSW / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent.

Experience

- 5–8 years of HR experience in a manufacturing industry.

Skills Required

- Knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance.
- Experience in payroll and HRMS.
- Valuable communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
