Minimum Qualification

Job Responsibilities
- Facilitate in establishing EHS requirements at workplace.
- Ensure the implementation of the EHS management system and norms as per the IMS and EHS manual, respectively.
- Manage Safety Shift Operations.
- Understand & Prepare vehicle Circulation Plans & Prepare HIRA.
- Expertise in Manufacturing facility Safety.
- Prepare SOPs on Workshop Machine Safety and ensure compliance.
- Ensure Gantry Crane safe operations.
- Identify training needs, design, and impart training for staff, visitors, sub-contractors, and workmen.
- Monitor the evaluation of compliance with legal requirements as identified by the cluster EHS manager at the prescribed frequency.
- Appraise the project manager & CEHSC/M on matters of non-compliance and facilitate compliance.
- Conduct periodical site EHS inspections & report findings for corrective action.
- Act as a catalyst for project EHS committee activities.
- Review & appraise site EHS performance and facilitate improvement.
- Ensure proactive performance monitoring through systems such as key performance indicators on EHS.
- Prepare EHS risk assessments & protected work methods.
- Timely reporting of EHS shortcomings to project manager for continual improvement.
- Organize campaigns,
competitions & other special emphasis programs to promote EHS at workplace.
- Conduct investigations of all incidents & initiate necessary corrective actions at sites.
- Analyze incident trends & initiate necessary corrective actions at sites.
- Act as a catalyst for establishing, implementing & maintaining emergency preparedness and response procedures at project sites.
- Report site EHS performance.
- Accountable for appraising management for project EHS plan implementation.
- Conduct EHS inspections as per monthly schedule.
- Report UA/UC not attended by line staff.
- Carry out RA for all identified activities.
- Prepare and send weekly & monthly reports to SEHS/BUEHS/Factory Heads.
- Issue violation memos in case of EHS violation.
- Verify the quality of PPEs & safety gadgets.
- Access records, information, property, or plans to make workplace safety evaluations.
- Have physical access to all areas of the site to perform surveys, inspections, or other site safety-related activities.
- Suspend work activities on behalf of line management if imminent danger exists which may immediately cause harm or occupational illness.
- Prepare Fire Safety Management Plans & Emergency evacuation processes.
- If imminent danger exists, the safety officer is authorized to stop work activities.
- Prepare Environmental Aspect & Impact Registers.
- Conduct Ambient Air Quality monitoring.
- Manage Waste and Emergency Management plans.
- Submit Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual reports as per PCB board.
