Junior Architect – Prefab Design & Documentation

Number of Openings: 2
Location: Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh
Department: Prefab Design & Engineering
Reporting To: Senior Designer / Lead Designer

Role Objective

The Junior Architect will support the Senior Designer in preparing accurate architectural, construction and coordination drawings for prefabricated modular homes, cottages, hospitality projects and related structures.

The role requires a person who can understand the Loom Crafts construction system, follow instructions carefully, prepare complete drawing packages with minimal errors, and coordinate with structural, LGSF, MEP, production and site teams.

The selected candidates will be trained in Loom Crafts’ standard construction details, materials, drawing formats and modular design systems.

Key Responsibilities1. Architectural Drawings

Prepare and revise:

- Floor plans
- Furniture layouts
- Roof plans
- Elevations
- Building sections
- Enlarged bathroom and kitchen layouts
- Staircase details
- Ceiling layouts
- Flooring layouts
- External development and basic site layouts

2. Foundation and Site Drawings

Prepare:

- Foundation layouts
- Pedestal and footing location plans
- Anchor bolt layouts
- Plinth level drawings
- Foundation sections
- Module or panel setting-out drawings
- Site installation reference drawings

Foundation sizing and structural calculations will be provided or approved by the structural engineer. The Junior Architect will be responsible for accurately incorporating the approved details into the drawing set.

3. MEP Coordination Drawings

Prepare coordinated layouts for:

- Electrical points
- Lighting points
- Switches and sockets
- Distribution boards
- Plumbing water supply
- Soil, waste and drainage lines
- Sanitary fixtures
- Geyser and equipment points
- Air-conditioning locations and service provisions
- Exhaust and ventilation points

Coordinate MEP services with:

- Wall framing
- Floor members
- Roof structure
- Doors and windows
- Bathroom layouts
- Furniture and equipment

4. Door and Window Documentation

Prepare:

- Door schedules
- Window schedules
- Opening sizes
- Sill and lintel levels
- Glass specifications
- Frame and shutter details
- Hardware requirements




- Door and window identification tags
- Typical installation details

5. Construction and Detail Drawings

Prepare detailed drawings for:

- Wall junctions
- Wall-to-floor connections
- Wall-to-roof connections
- Corners and panel joints
- Roof edges, ridges and valleys
- Waterproofing details
- Flashing details
- Bathroom wet-area details
- Flooring transitions
- Cladding and siding details
- Internal finish details
- Typical module and panel connections

6. Drawing Coordination

Coordinate with:

- Senior Designer
- SolidWorks engineering team
- Scottsdale/LGSF engineer
- Structural consultant
- MEP consultant or engineer
- Production team
- Procurement team
- Project and site teams

Ensure that architectural drawings match approved structural and fabrication drawings.

7. Drawing Quality Control

Before submitting drawings to the Senior Designer, independently check:

- Dimensions
- Levels
- Room sizes
- Door and window positions
- Section and elevation references
- Drawing titles and numbering
- Material specifications
- MEP coordination
- Revision status
- Consistency between plans, elevations, sections and schedules

The candidate must take responsibility for reducing avoidable drafting and coordination errors.

8. Revision Management

- Incorporate client and internal comments accurately.
- Maintain drawing revision history.
- Clearly mark revised areas.
- Ensure only the latest approved drawings are issued.
- Maintain organized project folders and drawing registers.

9. Standardization and Library Development

Assist the Senior Designer in developing and maintaining:

- Standard drawing templates
- Typical construction details
- Door and window libraries
- Bathroom layouts
- Kitchen layouts
- Standard MEP details
- Foundation details
- Material specifications
- Modular cottage and room-type libraries

Required Qualifications





- Bachelor of Architecture or Diploma in Architecture
- Freshers with strong technical drawing skills may be considered
- Preferably 1–3 years of experience in architectural working drawings or construction documentation

Required Software Skills

- AutoCAD – mandatory
- Microsoft Excel – basic working knowledge
- SketchUp – preferred
- Revit – preferred, but not mandatory
- Basic knowledge of Photoshop or presentation software will be an advantage

Preferred Experience

Experience in any of the following will be helpful:

- Architectural working drawings
- Prefabricated or modular buildings
- LGSF or steel construction
- Residential projects
- Resorts and hospitality projects
- MEP coordination
- Construction detailing
- Door and window schedules
- Foundation and setting-out drawings

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
