Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Agronomist with strong exposure to Protected Cultivation and Plasticulture practices. The role involves providing on-field agronomy support, conducting crop trials, and guiding farmers and franchise partners on the effective use of plasticulture products in open and protected cultivation systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide technical advisory on protected cultivation (polyhouse, shade net, tunnel farming) and plasticulture practices
- Guide farmers on the use of mulch films, crop covers, weed mats, and related agri-plastic solutions
- Conduct field visits, demonstrations, and crop trials to evaluate performance and best practices
- Analyze soil health data and recommend suitable crops, inputs, and cultivation methods




- Support farmers and franchise partners with on-ground problem-solving and technical guidance
- Train franchise and sales teams on protected cultivation techniques and product application
- Collect field data, prepare reports, and share insights for continuous product improvement

KRAs / KPIs

- Number of protected cultivation and plasticulture field visits, demos, and trials conducted
- Yield improvement and crop quality enhancement in protected and open-field trials
- Adoption rate of plasticulture products and recommended practices by farmers
- Resolution time for technical issues related to protected cultivation systems
- Timely submission of field reports and trial performance data

Skills & Requirements

- 5+ years of hands-on agronomy experience, preferably in protected cultivation or plasticulture
- Strong knowledge of polyhouse, shade net, mulch films, crop covers, and weed management
- Practical experience working directly with farmers and agri-franchise networks
- Ability to translate technical knowledge into simple, actionable recommendations
- Good communication skills in local language(s) and English
- Willingness to travel extensively for fieldwork

Pay: Up to ₹80,000.00 per month
