Job Description

Silicon Castech Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced and leadership-driven Quality Head to oversee shop-floor quality operations, drive defect-reduction initiatives, and lead our quality team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in HPDC, machining, and finishing processes, with a proven track record of managing end-to-end quality systems and customer compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Leadership & Strategy: Heading the entire quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) department, driving quality culture, and setting performance targets.
- Process Quality Management: Overseeing in-process, final, and pre-dispatch inspections across HPDC, trimming, buffing, machining, lacquering, and finishing operations.
- Root Cause & CAPA: Directing root cause analysis (RCA), CAPA implementation, and non-conformance management (NCR) to drive continuous improvement.
- Quality Documentation: Developing, updating, and maintaining Quality Control Plans, SOPs, standard inspection standards, and ISO/customer-mandated audit documentation.
- Dimensional & Technical Oversight: Ensuring strict dimensional accuracy (OD/ID, drilling, tapping, GD&T;, critical parameters) using advanced measuring instruments and gauges.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering with production, maintenance, and tooling heads to minimize scrap, rework, and operational downtime.




- Customer & Audit Management: Serving as the primary point of contact for customer quality audits, vendor quality issues, and customer complaint resolutions.

Required Skills & Knowledge

- Extensive experience in Aluminium High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) processes and defect troubleshooting.
- Strong working knowledge of CNC/VMC machines, SPMs, trimming, buffing, and surface finishing.
- Proficient in using and calibrating up-to-date precision measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Height Gauge, CMM exposure is a plus).
- Expert-level understanding of Quality Tools (7 QC Tools), Control Plans, NCR, RCA, 8D Reports, and CAPA.
- Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving abilities.

Qualification

- BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering.
