Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Sales Manager / Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding to drive business growth and expand our customer base in the Mumbai market.The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Sea & Air freight forwarding sales, with a proven ability to generate business from both current and existing customers, build long-term client relationships, and achieve sales targets.Candidates with strong knowledge of the local Mumbai freight forwarding market will be preferred.Key Responsibilities- Drive sales of Sea & Air freight forwarding services across the assigned market.- Generate new business through lead generation, prospecting, and market development.- Develop business from both new and existing customers to achieve sales targets.- Identify and convert new sales opportunities within the local market.- Build and maintain strong,



long-term relationships with customers.- Focus on customer retention and account growth to increase the overall client base.- Understand customer requirements and provide suitable freight forwarding solutions.- Conduct regular market mapping and identify potential customers and business opportunities.- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and ensure consistent business generation.- Work towards achieving individual and organizational sales and revenue targets.Candidate Requirements- Graduate in any discipline.- 3–15 years of experience in Sales / Business Development within the Freight Forwarding / Logistics industry.- Strong experience in selling Sea & Air Export and Import services.- Good understanding of the local Mumbai freight forwarding market.- Proven experience in new business development and lead generation.- Strong customer acquisition and retention skills.- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.- Strong customer relationship-management and networking abilities.- Target-oriented, self-motivated, and proactive approach.
