Job Title: Business / Domain Data Architect
Location: India
Job Summary: Lead data architecture within a specific business area or domain, translating domain knowledge in
risk, finance, transactions, compliance or regulatory reporting into data policies, models, target states and
governed solution designs. This role bridges business SMEs, architecture forums and platform teams to ensure
domain data products and reporting solutions are trusted, controlled and aligned to enterprise standards.
Responsibilities
• Business Area / Domain : Implement data policy standards, policies, and guidelines to ensure data
deliveries and architecture artifacts maintain integrity, quality, and consistency across the
Business area / domain. Ensure Alignment to Data Governance Frameworks and IT initiatives in
the area
• Data Modelling: Oversee Business area / domain data modelling and its global alignment.
• Architecture Governance: Facilitate communication and collaboration for the adoption and
maintenance of data policies and frameworks. Drive the management and adoption of data
policies and frameworks in Business area / Domain in EMEA and globally. Drive data architecture
decisions on Data Solutions/ Products
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to gain alignment
on data policies and standards. Contribute to data architecture discussions and lead decision-
making in this area.
• Industry and Technology Trends: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and
best practices in data architecture and management. Use this knowledge to build future-focused
data architecture capability roadmaps
Requirements
• Essential:




• Business knowledge / SME in either / or Risk, Finance, Transaction, Compliance etc . This would
include experience of working in financial services organisations and dealt with Business
capabilities / process for diverse products like Loans, Deposits, Capital Market products i.e.
Derivatives, Bonds, Swaps, Options etc. Extensive knowledge on regulatory reporting
requirements in these areas in EMEA and their solutions. Good understanding of Trade life cycle,
its actors / roles and responsibilities and how Data is managed through the same. Specialism in
certain areas of Reg reporting for ex. ILAAP , FINREP , STE , TTR, CCR etc will hold significance
• Proven ability to deliver enterprise data architecture policies and target states
• Experience establishing governance functions, drafting ToRs, and chairing forums
• Ability to create data flows across domains (target states, transition states, etc.)
• Competence in reviewing data architecture artifacts and making decisions based on policies and
standards
• Experience with data modelling and industry standards (e.g., FSLDM, BIRD)
• Understanding of current data methodologies (e.g., Lake, Mesh, Fabric, Hybrid, Agentic)
• Desirable:
• Data modelling experience/ Knowledge
• Experience evaluating and recommending data tools
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or similar platforms
• Familiarity with Collibra, Enterprise Architecture Tooling i.e. Lean IX , Ardoq etc
