Senior Backend Developer 8+ Years

Location - Remote(South preferably Kerala)

Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications using Node.js and NestJS.
* Lead backend development for complex features and take ownership of technical design and implementation.
* Design and develop robust REST APIs, microservices, and backend services using NestJS and Node.js.
* Work extensively with PostgreSQL and other SQL/NoSQL databases, ensuring efficient database design, queries, indexing, and performance.
* Design and implement scalable cloud-based backend solutions using AWS services.
* Manage and execute application deployment processes across development, staging, and production environments.
* Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize backend applications and cloud deployments for reliability and performance.
* Ensure secure coding practices, proper authentication/authorization, error handling, logging, and API security.
* Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to backend architecture, coding standards, and best practices.
* Identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions for scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
* Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, Dev Ops teams,



architects, and other stakeholders.
* Mentor junior and mid-level developers and contribute to technical decision-making and engineering best practices.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

* 8+ years of professional experience in backend development.
* Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and NestJS in production environments.
* Strong experience with AWS and developing/deploying backend applications on AWS cloud infrastructure.
* Robust experience with PostgreSQL and other SQL and NoSQL databases.
* Strong understanding of database design, query optimization, indexing, transactions, and performance tuning.
* Strong hands-on experience with application deployment, release processes, and production environments.
* Strong experience designing and developing scalable REST APIs and backend services.
* Strong understanding of backend architecture, scalability, security, performance, and reliability.
* Experience with debugging, monitoring, and resolving complex production issues.
* Strong problem-solving, technical ownership, and communication skills.
* Experience mentoring developers and conducting code reviews.
